Pharmacist deprescribing cut 2.5 drugs per patient, but six-month totals held steady
A Dutch trial trained pharmacists to strip back prescriptions for 318 people aged over 75 on long medication lists. They cut or stopped more drugs than usual care did. Six months on, the total count and quality of life were unchanged.

A Nature Aging paper reports that physical activity delays ovarian aging. Its 164,853 human participants were compared at a single moment, which cannot show that. The delaying was demonstrated in mice.

A China-adapted planetary diet tracked 14% lower deaths
Researchers rebuilt the EAT-Lancet planetary health diet around Chinese eating and scored 19,660 adults on it. The top quarter had a 14% lower death rate over a median 9.1 years, alongside lower emissions, water use and land use.

Paracetamol matched anti-inflammatories for arthritis pain
A Japanese trial randomized 400 people over 65 with hip or knee osteoarthritis to acetaminophen or an anti-inflammatory for eight weeks. Pain fell almost identically. The trial still failed its own non-inferiority test.
